What if the "best practices" we were taught aren't actually what's best for autistic kids?
The truth is that compliance-based approaches prioritize control; not kids.
They don’t build connection. They don’t support regulation. And they definitely don’t honor autistic students for who they truly are.
A child-led approach changes everything.
A child-led approach prioritizes connection over control, even when the system is pushing for data over dignity.
When you shift your lens, you start to see what actually helps autistic kids thrive:
I'm ready to be a change-maker!Just imagine...
✿ Writing goals for your autistic students in half the time—without sacrificing meaning, connection, or data
✿ Supporting each student in a way that truly honors their sensory profile, communication style, and autonomy—and watching the trust and joy grow in real time.
✿ Feeling confident and clear in your decisions—because you’ve let go of outdated, compliance-based methods and stepped fully into a child-led, neuroaffirming approach that actually works.
The Child-Led Autism Summit will empower you to bring that vision to reality.
Join thousands of professionals and advocates who are rewriting the rules—and supporting autistic kids the way they actually need.

Hi, I'm Nicole Casey, SLP and Founder of The Child-Led SLP
I'm a speech-language pathologist and mom of two toddlers. Over my 12 years in the field, I've seen firsthand the challenges professionals are faced when it comes to implementing a child-led and neuroaffirming approach in an outdated, ableist system.
I'm here to guide you in honoring what you already know to be true: that both you and your students deserve better than a system that is designed to highlight deficits and enforce compliance.
I've curated a group of incredibly passionate speakers who each have powerful insight to share. Together, we'll shake up the autism space and lean into the connection that we know is the foundation for all skills!
